Family search for grandmother

2013-12-31 00:00

AN Imbali family are desperate to find their 87-year-old grandmother who has been missing for more than three weeks.

Thembi Emily Zondi, of 2357 Wula Road in Imbali stage two, walked out of the gate of their front garden at about midday on December 6 and has not been seen since. According to family members, she used to take short walks around the neighbourhood, so when she went out, nobody thought anything of it. The family are concerned that she may have become disorientated and ended up getting lost.

Her son, Sipho Zondi, said they had reported her missing at the Plessislaer police station. They searched the morgues and hospitals, and have combed the surrounding suburbs, and so far there is no trace of his mother. Zondi was wearing a green jersey, brown dress, brown beret and black shoes when she left home.

If anyone has seen her or has information as to her whereabouts, please call Sipho Zondi at 083 800 6518 or Oscar Mchunu at 082 791 3563 or contact the Plessislaer police station at 033 398 9730.
