Father and son pull guns

2014-02-10 00:00

A FATHER and son are thought to have pulled guns on one another during a domestic squabble at their home in Bisley yesterday morning.

At least one shot is thought to have been fired, but no one was wounded. The father is a senior provincial inspector in the Transport Department.

Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane said officers were called to the house after the shooting.

“It is alleged that the father and son were having a domestic squabble. Both were armed with guns,” he said, adding that it was not clear who had fired the shot.

Zwane said no one was arrested, but the firearms were taken for safekeeping.

A neighbour who did not want to be named said he had heard a gunshot.

“The next thing, police and ambulances came to their gate. I was scared to go and find out what was happening,” he said.
