First capping for KZN’s top water polo players

2014-10-30 00:00

CLIFTON College hosted the KZN Schools water polo capping ceremony on Monday, where 130 boys and girls from various schools received their certificates.

Guest speaker was former Springbok rugby player and SA men’s water polo player Mark Andrews, who spoke on discipline as a key ingredient to success in sport.

He also emphasised that enjoyment was as important in ensuring competition was conducted in a manner that upheld the values of the game.

This was the first KZN water polo capping ceremony and players were recognised from U14 to U19 level to attend an inter-provincial in Gauteng in December.
