THE KZN Inland Premier 50 competition comes down to the wire this weekend, but before that there’s a fun T20 match dubbed the “Battle of the Balls” between the KZN Inland first XI and the Maritzburg United footballers.

The weekend kicks off at 4 pm today at the PMB Oval, when Standard take on Midlands in the final of the KFC Inter-City T20 competition.

Following that expected tight affair comes the hit-and-giggle showdown between the footballers and the leather flingers.

Battle of the Balls is expected to draw a sizeable crowd of football and cricket fans.

Spectators are encouraged to “bring and braai”, and there is to be a fireworks display. Entrance is R5 per person with free entry for schoolchildren in school uniform. Parking costs R10 per car.
