Found: two missing siblings

2010-03-01 00:00

MISSING sister and brother Shanê (10) and Alistair (9) Govender were found unharmed on Saturday, thanks to an article published in Weekend Witness.

Police spokeswoman Joey Jeevan said the investigating officer, Inspector Alistair Farrington, worked tirelessly for three days to trace the children and was hot on their trail when he received information on Saturday that the siblings had been seen in Greytown by a Weekend Witness reader.

Jeevan said Farrington found them at a house in Greytown and returned them to their mother.

A 38-year-old man, in whose company the children were found, was arrested and will face charges of intimidation over an alleged threat made to kill the siblings at the time of their disappearance, she said.
