Get in early for White Mountain 2010

2010-06-11 00:00

RENOWNED for its laid-back atmosphere and a calendar favourite among music lovers in KwaZuluNatal, the White Mountain Festival will be hosted from September 23 to 26 at White Mountain Lodge near Giant’s Castle in the central Drakensberg.

The family-friendly festival offers a four-day programme of live music, and thus far some of the confirmed acts are Ard Matthews, Jack Mantis Band, Margaret’s Daughter, Jaspar Lepak and Machineri.

Other attractions include a wide choice of outdoor leisure activities, arts and crafts, a beer market and assorted food stalls. Festivalgoers can also make full use of the lodge’s facilities, which include a restaurant, pub, games room, swimming pool and satellite TV.

Early-bird tickets are now on sale at Computicket for R350, a saving of R200 on the gate price. This offer is valid until the end of June only and tickets are limited. The price includes camping for the entire festival and children under 12 years of age pay R50.
