TONIGHT

• Fawlty Duck (aka Bull & Wheel) hosts karaoke and a dance every Friday from 6.30 pm until late with DJ Mervin. Contact 082 253 7076.

TOMORROW

• tHE Masked Avengers tour arrives at the Big Chill at University of KwaZulu-Natal. The gig starts at 6 pm. Entrance is free. The evening features Abdus, Rez Proph, Deep Rooted, Liquid K-ZN and Skye Wanda. Mix tapes and albums will be on sale. Inquiries: 082 431 2304.

SUNDAY

• Horny Goat Gigs at Swissland Cheese (on the R103, between Lidgetton and Balgowan) presents the Pixie Bennett Band, along with Tuff Gong, which is the support band. The afternoon starts at 12.30 pm. • The Splayed Ferrets are performing on the deck at The Butchery (Roberts Road) from 3 pm. No cover charge. (There is a carvery for lunch and a curry evening.)

• Cliffy’s (117 Grimthorpe Avenue, Lincoln Meade) is hosting a Mad Hatters’ Tea Party. Hats, no caps, need to be worn for entry. Prizes for the most unique, funky hat. The afternoon begins at 3 pm. Entrance is R50. Children under five free. Band line-up is The Otherwise, Roly Struckmeyer, Sea of Stars, Chris Middelton and Small Town Heroes. Craft and food stalls, kids entertainment, bar, band CDs and secure parking will be available.

• A massive Bhangra party at Club Crystal Palace from 8 pm. Lots of prize giveaways and a Foundry promo. Inquiries: 033 387 7941.

TUESDAY

• The Maritzburg Musicians’ Club hosts the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters and Cape Town-based artist Luna Paige. Entrance is R20. Music starts at 8 pm.

• The El Sombrero Spur at the Scottsville Mall invites you to the Tuesday night live music evening with singer-guitarist Jammo from 5.30 pm.

WEDNESDAY

• Jammo is back this week at the Nevada Spur at Cascades with four hours of feelgood music from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

• The Kick ‘n Whistle hosts karaoke tonight with Jen and Gary. Inquiries: 033 342 3528.

THURSDAY

COMING UP

• March 27. DJ Cndo invites you to an exclusive lingerie house party in Umhlanga Ridge, driven by DJ Cndo and featuring five surprise guest DJs.
