TONIGHT

• Joys Of Life holds its annual celebration which begins at Madlula’s (The Balcony) with the DJs China, Terrance, Claude, King Sfiso, Andileh, Sduz, Webster and Honest.

• The Black and White party hosted by DJ Siyanda and Mike The Promotor is at Rivets at the Hilton Durban. The party begins at 8 pm until late and R100 will get you in. Dress code smart.

• Sam Boylan and the Traxx DJs will be hitting Murmur tonight. Entrance is R30 and is free for women between 8 pm to

• Roger Lucey, Dan Chiorboli and Brendan Jury perform at Allian ce Française.

• Barry Ritson will be performing at Collegians Club until the end of September.

TOMORROW

• The Bat & Ball (1 Market Street in Howick) features DJ Sgoody, Masta B, Vejamore, Honest, Deepa Gruv and Skillz. The show starts at 7 pm until kuze kuse. • Back at Pegasus Country Pub is karaoke with Ken Thompson, after the rugby.

• Mountain View country pub features the live vibe with Jammo.

SUNDAY

• Join Johnny MacGregor and Ken Thompson at Pegasus Country Pub for an afternoon of music from 2 pm onwards. Roast will be on offer. Bookings and inquiries: 083 532 4415.

• Kick ’n Whistle Pub and Grill in PMB hosts Bev MacGregor who provides a range of music for all tastes. The gig starts at noon. Roast available, and booking is advised. Phone Jim at 076 074 4726.

• Brett Cox and Roly Struckmeyer perform every Sunday afternoon at the Stagecoach. Inquiries: 072 654 6224.

• Club CP (Crystal Palace) hosts a massive bhangra party this Sunday from 8 pm. Dress up and get to CP.

• Mike from Marshall Music plays laid-back piano and keyboard favourites from 5.30 pm at the Nevada Spur at Cascades.

• Jammo performs at the Olive Tree from 1 pm with a very laid-back selection with the potential to get more lively later on. The Olive Tree is located next to McDonalds’ Garden Centre off Boshoff Street.

 

MONDAY

• Howard College Theatre hosts a free lunch-hour concert at the Howard College Theatre at 12.15 pm. Vidwan Pregalathan Singaram and his troupe perform a concert of south Indian classical music.

 

TUESDAY

• Hector Houston and the District Boys are the next featured act the Maritzburg Musicians’ Club.

 

WEDNESDAY

• Free lunch-hour concert at the Howard College Theatre at 12.15 pm. School of music student Chimwemwe Mhango and other jazz students perform Malawian Afro gospel.

• At the Stagecoach every Wednesday is open mic night with Brett Cox. Inquiries 072 654 6224.

• Jammo is at the Nevada Spur at Cascades, with a wide range of feel-good numbers, from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

• The Kick ’n Whistle hosts karaoke with Jen and Gary. Inquiries: 033 342 3528.

 

THURSDAY

• Every Thursday is open mic night at Snap! Wine Bar in Durban from 7 pm to 11 pm. All welcome, no entry fee.

• Jen and Gary host karaoke from 7.30 pm at Lizards Rock.
