TONIGHT

• Prime Circle, Newtown and Habit To perform at the Golden Horse Casino outside arena at a concert hosted by Big Beat.

• Jackie Horner Pub and Grill in Davenport Road, Durban, features the band Little Fish in action from 7 pm until 9 pm.

• Party the night away with DJ Swys from 7 pm until late at the Kick ’n Whistle. Drinks specials and free entrance. Secure parking is available. Inquiries: 033 342 3528.

TOMORROW

• At Burn (16 Walls Avenue, off Umgeni Road, Durban), Jagermeister and Emily The Strange present Straatligkinders (Afrikaans punk rock band from Potch), Koldproduk (hip hop band from Jo’burg), The Cavalier (punk rock band from Jo’burg) and The Otherwise (indie rock band from Durban). • Jammo will be performing at the Olive Tree from lunch time onwards with a very laid-back selection, getting livelier later on.

• Jazz sundowners on the deck at the Bat Centre with the group Cquence — a student jazz band from the Bat Centre. The line-up consists of Nonhle Mdandane (vocals), Fukile Nazo (piano), Khumbulani Bhengu (guitar), Vuyani Shandu (bass) and Talent Gumede (drums).

 

TUESDAY

• The Maritzburg Musicians’ Club hosts Laurie Levine and the Gloucester Blues Project. Music starts at 8 pm at the Red Door (in Quarry Road, off Victoria Road) and entrance is R20. For more information visit www.pmbmusicclub.co.za

• The Olive Tree coffee shop hosts karaoke on Tuesday nights with Clareoke Connections. Karaoke starts at 7 pm until late. Bar open from 4 pm.

 

WEDNESDAY

• Jammo continues his popular Wednesday night slot at the Nevada Spur at Cascades with a wide range of feel-good numbers from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

THURSDAY
