TONIGHT

• The Jackie Horner Pub and Grill in Helen Joseph (Davenport) Road, Durban, presents the contemporary up-tempo sounds of band 33, from 9 pm to midnight

• The Red Tap, Howick, presents the live vibe with Jammo from 7.30 pm onwards. Expect a few of the latest and most of the greatest, with a selection of music varying from folky to hard rock, from eighties party favourites to reggae, country and rock ’n roll.

• The Last Musketeer will be performing at Collegians from 7 pm. Good food and music on offer. Inquiries: 082 761 5249.

• The Origin in Clark Road, Glenwood, turns on the month-end madness with funky techno, electro, house, and eighties and nineties commercial dance music with deejays Martin McHale, Claudio, Dax, Dakin Auret, Crabfire and more. Entrance is R50 for women and R80 for men. Doors open at 9 pm.

• The Heritage Theatre presents the Gee Jays’s new show Boep Idles today and tomorrow at 7 pm (for 8.30 pm) and Sunday at 12.30 pm (for 2 pm). Tickets are R190 for the show, which includes a two-course meal or R100 for the show only. Book at 031 765 4197.

TOMORROW

• The Ryan Calder Band will be performing at the Pietermaritzburg Farmers’ Market outsite Harry Gwala Stadium from 6.30 am. CDs on sale for R100. Visit www.ryancalder. co.za for more information.

• Crowded House is celebrating its 14th birthday tomorrow with the mother-of-all bashes. Amazing prizes to be won, including a trip for two to Las Vegas. Doors open at 8 pm. Dress code: smart.

• The iconic 3-30 badge stomps its stiletto down hard on the floor at Origin and celebrates its 21st birthday with all the original Scream Team deejays pelting out nostalgic underground tunes from the legendary night club. Entrance is R80. Doors open at 9 pm.

TUESDAY

• City Bowl Mizers, Catlike Thieves, The Ranks and Clock Struck June will be performing at Café Vacca Matta in Durban.

• Durban musicians Barry and Calli Thomson, Andy Turrell and Marion Loudon have joined forces to take Unplugged to the Heritage Theatre. Enjoy classic hits like Layla, Romeo and Juliet, Losing my Religion and Hotel California. Tickets are R150 Tuesday to Thursday, R190 on Friday and Saturday and R165 on Sunday, including a two-course meal. There is also a show-only option of R100 per person. To book, phone 031 765 4197.
