• New Year’s party at the Village Centre in Ballito. 5FM DJ line-up: Fresh, Euphonik, Roger Goode, Gareth Cliff, C-Live, ­Poppy and Rob Vember, plus artists GoodLuck, Niskerone, Gareth Devore, the Spindoctor, G Funk, Yaron, ­Justin Miller, Harel Salkow and more.

• The fourth annual Midmar ­Music Festival features Theo Kgosinkwe, Zonke and Zahara­, among others.

• Rock the River — the New Year’s party — features Fokofpolisiekar, Hog Hoggidy Hog, Reburn, Half Price, Peachy Keen, Stonecollar, The Modes, Junkyard Lipstick and CY.STR, among others. • The Rock Bottom Pub and Grill in Umzumbe is hosting a New Year’s party with a beach theme. DJ and drinks specials included.

• The Red Door is hosting a New Year’s party. On the main dance floor are DJs playing music from the sixties, seventies and eighties.
