TONIGHT

• Avade will be performing at the Red Door from 9.30 pm. R10 before 9 pm. Inquiries: Jamie at 082 975 4473.

• The Last Musketeer will be performing at Collegians from 7 pm. Good food and music on offer. Inquiries: 082 761 5249.

• The Jackie Horner Pub and Grill in Helen Joseph (Davenport Road), Glenwood, gives its music stage to acoustic band the Kickstands, tonight from 9 pm to midnight. To book a table, phone 031 202 9192.

• The Red Tap in Howick features music by Jammo from 7.30 pm. Expect an up-tempo vibe.

 

TOMORROW

• The Ranks will be performing at the Scout Hall (PMB) along with Truth Revealed, Thomas Crane, Superlative, Smithsmall, Ariseband and Scarlett Hill.

• Rory Eliot will be performing a solo set at Crossways in Hilton. Opening is Ryan Calder. The Sharks game will be broadcast on the big screen.

• Mountain View country pub will be hosting the unveiling of the giant football (one of the biggest in the world) at midday, with entertainment from Jammo, as well as live music before and after the Sharks rugby match on the big screen.

• Karaoke with Jen and Gary at Firkin every Thursday from 7.30 pm.

 

SUNDAY

• Jazz Revisited performs on Mother’s Day at the Strelitzia Room Restaurant at the Botanical Gardens. Booking for lunch is essential at R120 per person. Enjoy the mellow sounds of Hugo Misselhorn (piano), Jeremy Grimsdell (drums) and Mike Hemmings (bass). Phone 033 344 2207.

• The Splayed Ferrets are performing on the deck at the Butchery from 2.30 pm. There’s an afternoon carvery, a curry evening plus specials on during the day. Entry is free.

• The Jackie Horner Pub and Grill in Helen Joseph (Davenport Road) Glenwood hosts singer and songwriter Shannon Connolly from 1 pm to 3 pm. Entry is free. You can also treat your mother to a Mother’s Day Sunday roast lunch for just R49 per person. To book a table, phone 031 202 9192.

• All day fun and entertainment at Mountain View country pub with music from Jammo and friends, plenty of activities for the whole family, full bar and catering, and braai facilities.

WEDNESDAY

COMING UP

• May 15: The first annual Pig & Beer Fest takes place at Pecanwood (15 kilometres from PMB just before Howick). There will be plenty of beer, spit roasts, bands, bonfires and camping available. Tickets are R50, which includes all food (pork roast, rolls, salads, etc) as well as camping. The bands are by Red Light Stereo, Catlike Thieves and Cairly Mattews. DJ spud will take the party further into the night. Tickets at Computicket online, Shoprite Checkers, cellular outlets or at Pecanwood directly.
