2012-12-15 00:00

RUN, run as fast as you can ... try to catch The Witness Gingerbread Man!

In preparation for the Maritzburg Marathon, we are challenging you to get fit for race day.

As an innovative service, The Witness will be publishing training tips weekly for you to follow, and you can go one step further by following The Witness’s Gingerbread Man on Endomondo.

Simply sign up to Endomondo.com or use your Facebook account details to sign in.

Endomondo.com is a website that allows you to automatically track all your sports data and monitor your performance over time.

At Endomondo.com, you meet like-minded friends, get inspired by them, challenge them and follow their activities such as running, cycling, walking, skiing, kayaking, roller skating ... live!

It’s fun all the way, whether you are into just following your personal achievements or whether you wish to place yourself in a larger network of sports partners who challenge and support each other’s efforts.

You will get the most out of Endomondo.com with a GPS mobile phone, such as BlackBerrys, newer Nokias, Android devices and iPhones.

You can download the application free of charge to phones directly from the website or visit BlackBerry’s App World, the Google Play store or the iOS iStore.

On the Endomondo download page, you will see a list of the phones that the application supports.

When installed, launch the application before your scheduled training and complete your training with the application still launched.

Make sure to carry your device all the way with you as it will track your training session and route live.

To compete with The Witness Gingerbread Man and challenge your friends, simply search for “The Witness Gingerbread Man” in Endomondo and add him as friend. Try to beat him and look out for your Endomondo timeline, which may be published in The Witness.
