Great train relay race from Inchanga this weekend

OVER 1 000 road runners completed the Sanlam SAPS Half-marathon Challenge this weekend.

Mr Price’s Samuel Pazanga held off Bluff Meats Formula One runner Robson Chigaro to take the honours in the SAPS race. Jenna Challenor claimed victory in the ladies’ race.

Saturday sees the Nosa Great Train Relay Race, which is for teams of six, starting at Inchanga station and finishing next to the platform in Hillcrest.

Entry is R1 000 per team, which includes T-shirts and complimentary entry to the Beer Fest at Hillcrest Villagers. Tricia Smith has more details at 073 572 1688.

With the cancellation of Verulam’s Night Race and the Spartan 10 km, the only other races this weekend are the Tonevale Game Park 16 km on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning’s Mtubatuba 10 km.

Umhlathuze are the hosts of the Tonevale, which starts from Wallenton Farm at 2.30 pm.
