HR alliance to benefit local business community

2009-01-30 00:00

THE formation of a strategic alliance between a Pietermaritzburg-based employment company and a leading national HR strategy and employment consultancy will have immediate benefits for the local business community.

The two partners involved in the strategic alliance are Pietermaritzburg-based Express Employment Professionals and the Andrew Levy Group.

Express Employment Professionals, owner-managed by well-known local entrepreneur Carolyn Diaz, will host Andrew Levy at an economic and labour market presentation to the Pietermaritzburg business community on February 10 at the Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business (PCB).

A professor of labour economics, Levy is a respected labour law consultant, analyst, commentator and trainer.

According to Diaz, the alliance will assist Express Employment Professionals in providing its client-base with additional offerings, also attracting new staffing clients by surrounding them with the additional services.

“It will also enable our franchisees to provide a variety of human resource solutions and assist in opening the door to additional opportunities to provide our primary service – staffing solutions. This step will also better align us with some of our larger competitors,” she told The Witness.

“A representative of Andrew Levy Incorporated will be based at our head office where they will man our HR hotline and be available to answer any questions from our clients. They will also provide in-house training to Express Employment Professionals franchisees and their staff on all HR/IR issues, which will equip our teams to better serve their clients,” Diaz said.
