Heart baby: fundraising concert

2010-08-25 00:00

THE Maritzburg Singers are set to perform at Upper Umgeni Presbyterian Church this Sunday at 3 pm to raise funds for Tayla Grace Geddes.

Geddes was born at Pietermaritzburg’s Medi-Clinic in March with three holes in her heart and a missing septum.

She has since been flown to Sunninghill Hospital in Johannesburg where she underwent open-heart surgery.

After weeks of intensive care the tiny girl has finally been removed from her pacemaker and ventilator.

Surgery revealed she was missing her thymus glad, rendering her immune system weak. She has received blood transfusions to counter infections and anaemia.

The Tayla Grace Geddes Special Fund:

Branch 632005.
