IT IS not too late to book your seat for the breakfast with Alec Hogg, the founder of Moneyweb, who is well known as a writer, editor, broadcaster, columnist and publisher.

He will be speaking at a breakfast organised by The Witness and Sanlam tomorrow at the Protea Hilton Hotel starting at 8 am.

More upbeat than ever about South Africa’s prospects in the post-recession “new normal” world economy, Hogg says, “Right now, opportunities abound, but so do risks.” How will the rand fare in the months ahead and what impact will the Japanese disaster have on the world economy and South Africa in particular? The talk will end at 10.30 am. Readers attending the breakfast also stand the chance of winning a number of lucky draw prizes from The Witness and Sanlam.

Seats are available at R175, tables of eight sell for R1 320.
