Horny Goats Gig

2009-08-07 00:00

HORNY Goat Gigs hosts Southern Gypsey Queen, Josie Field and the Gloucester Blues Project on their Sunday afternoon line-up at Swissland Cheese next week.

And news from Horny Goat  Gig organiser Fran is that the new bunch of baby goats has just arrived, and “this gig will be a good celebration for them.”

First up at noon is the Gloucester Blues Project, an enigmatic local band which performs regularly in Durban and Pietermaritzburg.

Following them at 1 pm is two- time Sama-nominated female singer and songwriter Josie Field, who has two albums under her belt and has toured extensively, supporting international acts such as James Blunt.

Then at 2 pm is Southern Gypsey Queen, a band which has, since 2004, released three fantastic albums, toured extensively around South Africa and had major airplay on most radio stations and MK.

The gates are open from 11 am, and the event is suitable for the whole family, and should make for a great day out in the midlands.

The cheese shop at Swissland Cheese farm will be open.
