SURVIVOR is back — and this time, it’s fans versus favourites, as 10 superfans of the show and 10 all-stars compete against each other on the island of Micronesia near Palau.

Survivor: Micronesia — Fans vs Favourites is the 16th season of the reality show and the third to include contestants from past seasons.

The show was filmed in ­Palau, and the locations were the same as those used in Survivor: Palau . Exile Island also returns this season after being absent from Survivor: China.

TODAY

• Grey’s Anatomy – M-Net (channel 101), 7.30 pm: Season six of the medical drama concludes with shocking a two-parter. In tonight’s first instalment, Seattle Grace Hospital is hit with a crisis like no other in its history.

• Law & Order Criminal Intent – SABC3, 10.15 pm: A tourist is killed and the prime suspect is an actor who takes a film role too far.

TOMORROW

• CSI Miami – M-Net, 8.30 pm: In the opening episode of season eight, Delko’s life hangs in the balance, and Horatio flashes back 12 years to reveal how the CSIs first met and became a team.

WEDNESDAY

• The Oprah Winfrey Show – SABC3, 5.35 pm: Susan Boyle went from total obscurity to become an international singing sensation overnight. She talks about how she’s handling fame. American Idol wild child Adam Lambert also makes an appearance.

• NCIS Los Angeles – M-Net, 8.30 pm: This spin-off of the popular series NCIS stars Chris O’Donnell as Special Agent Callen, whose natural talent for undercover work is legendary, and LL Cool J as Special Agent Sam Hanna, an ex-Navy Seal, who works in the undercover unit of NCIS in Los Angeles, is fluent in Arabic and an expert on Middle Eastern culture.

THURSDAY

• Top Billing – SABC3, 7.30 pm: The team travels to Fransch­hoek to sample the subtle flavours of fine French cuisine, complemented by the zing and sparkle of champagne.

FRIDAY

• The Oprah Winfrey Show – SABC3, 5.35 pm: Oprah talks to 24-year-old Josh, who has struggled with an addiction to food, and was literally eating himself to death. At his heaviest, he weighed 250 kilograms. You’ll want to see the miraculous transformation he’s made in the last two years.
