Howick lines up fun, food and frolics for unforgettable Oktoberfest

2010-09-23 00:00

A GERMAN Oktoberfest will be staged on the Pecanwood farm in Merrivale on Saturday October 9. Bookings for this, the first Howick Oktoberfest, are now open at Computicket.

Oompah bands will team up with some of the province’s most popular musicians.

Tickets are just R69 a head and cover a full night’s worth of fun and food — even camping facilities are included in the package at no extra charge. Tickets on the day will sell for R100 a head.

Round-the-clock security will be provided.

The event will come to a close the following day at 10 am.

Patrons will not be allowed to bring their own alcohol on to the premises.

There will be prizes galore and one lucky patron will win a trip for two to the 2011 Oktoberfest in Germany, compliments of Student Flights and Contiki Tours.

Other activities running through the night will include the King and Queens of Oktoberfest contests, and the event is likely to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Be sure to get your friends there too for the night out of the year!
