ID suicide: govt to hand over a house

KWAZULU-NATAL and national go­vernment heavyweights will descend on Nqetho Reserve, near Hillcrest, tomorrow, to hand over a fully furnished house to the family of Skhumbuzo Mhlongo, who committed suicide after failing to get his identity document.

KZN Premier, Dr Zweli Mkhize, Home Affairs Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, National Social Development Minister Edna Molewa, National Deputy Minister of Social Development, Bathabile Dlamini, KZN MEC for Social Development, Meshack Radebe, National Secretary for Young Communist League Bhuti Manamela, and various business people will make up the high profile delegation.

“It is the responsibility of this department to protect the vulnerable, hence, a lot of needy people have benefited from the corporate social responsibility programme of his department,” said Radebe.
