In a show of confidence, the IFP has unveiled its plans for its first 100 days in office if it were to garner the highest number of votes in KZN in the upcoming general election.

The IFP’s premier candidate, Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi, said her approach will be to follow a time-frame that will allow her leadership to be judged on her record in just one hundred days.

Her focus will be on:

• Assembling a forensic auditing team to embark on the long-awaited investigations into and exposure of mismanagement in individual government departments over the past five years.

• Set up a mini-Scorpions to investigate corruption in the province over the past five years.

• Immediate reinstatement of the tender board in order to oversee and monitor all future government tenders.

• Launch a mentorship programme to address the lack of skills and competence in municipalities and

• Call an urgent health indaba with officials from the Health Department, medical professionals and NGOs to re-establish partnerships frayed under the ANC government and formulate a strategy to address the chronic shortages of staff, medicines and equipment in state hospitals and clinics.
