THE University of KwaZulu-Natal Impi helped neighbours Maritzburg Collegians by beating Zululand Rhinos at Mick Kelley Park in Empangeni over the weekend, but the vital bonus point the Zululanders earned in finishing within seven points of the victors in this Fidelity Security Premier Division match has ensured that the red, black and white PMB side are now bottom of the eight-team log table.

PMB Collegians lost 38-12 to Northwood Crusaders while the Impi beat the Rhinos 30-25 moving into fourth place. ’Saders’ win has seen them move into third place on the log table. Collegians’ tries came from fullback Brent Kay and flyhalf Tiaan Moore.

An on-song Durban Collegians, second on the Premier Division log to defending champs College Rovers, outplayed Varsity College 47-10. Rovers beat Wentworth Harlequins 50-0.

In KZN First Division South action, high-riding Amanzimtoti beat South Coast Warriors 61-3, Jaguars shaded UKZN Durban 12-7, Ballito Dolphins edged Westville 17-15 and Richards Bay did well to beat Hillcrest 15-11.

Rovers stayed on top of the KZN U20A Division log with a 35-15 win against Jaguars, while Varsity College U20s beat UKZN Durban 33-0.
