2012-10-17 00:00

MUCH-LOVED teacher Mannie Nagura, who died after an illness last month will be remembered on Saturday at a charity run dedicated to his memory.

Sponsored runners will be among those who will take part in 15 km, 10 km and five kilometre runs to raise money for Bread of Heaven, a feeding scheme started at the Kairos Ministries church at which Nagura was an early volunteer.

The 15km run starts at 7 am, the 10km at 8.45 am and the five kilometre at 9 am.

The run will begin and end at the Jai Hind Primary School in Albersville, where a fun day will feature food stalls, dance and poetry presentations and an eating competition.

The winner of an artwork competition, already held at various schools, will also be announced.

Bread of Heaven feeds at least 1 000 children daily and needs R45 000 for food every month.
