KZN gearing up for Top Business Portfolio Awards

2007-11-20 00:00

These new awards are a platform to reward business success in organisations that incorporate best business practices while contributing to the socio-economic growth of KZN.

The winners will be announced on Thursday night at a gala dinner at the Elangeni Hotel, together with entertainment by Mark Banks and music by the Debi Mari Quartet.

“With growth in the job market in South Africa a constant challenge, the focus has shifted to self-employment as a means of providing people with a way to earn a living. This means that the sustainability of businesses and helping them to grow is crucial,” said Gareth Davies, provincial chairman of FNB KZN.

Grant Adlam, CEO of Pearl Coral 4, is the driving force behind the KZN Top Business Portfolio, a well respected marketing resource, which has been operating in the province for the last 10 years.

It has promoted KZN, its top businesses, municipalities and government departments to the local and international investor market.

The portfolio includes a profile of KZN, an insight into successful governance and the economy, and highlights investment possibilities in the different municipalities.
