Karkloof man's throat slit

2009-10-26 00:00

TWO suspects were arrested yesterday in connection with the attempted murder of a groom whose throat was slit after he was attacked at the Karkloof Country Club near Howick on Saturday night.

It is alleged that Alfred Ndingi (28) from Cato Ridge, who was found with a large laceration across his throat, had an argument with a fellow groom during the day.

Netcare Limited spokesman Chris Botha said paramedics had to place a tube into his exposed windpipe to enable him to breath. He is in a critical but stable condition at Edendale Hospital.

SAPS spokeswoman Inspector Joey Jeevan said a case of attempted murder was opened. “The two suspects who are between the ages of 20 and 29 will appear at the Howick Magistrate’s Court today.”
