2008-07-11 00:00

British singer-songwriter Katie Melua will perform at the Durban Botanic Gardens on September 20.

This will be the star’s first performance in KwaZulu-Natal and second visit to South Africa, after performing in March 2005 at the 46664 concert in George, where she sang Too Much Love Will Kill You with Queen’s Brian May.

Big Concerts and East Coast Radio will be hosting the concert. Tickets are R269 from Computicket (www.computicket.com or phone 083 915 8000). The support act will go on stage at 8 pm for 30 minutes, after which Melua will take the stage from 9 pm.
