KLOOF High School’s sports teams enjoyed a good week and weekend, with touch rugby, indoor hockey and cricket teams recording solid wins.

The girls’ first touch rugby team played two matches during the week, pulling off a 5-2 win against Inanda and settling for a 2-2 draw with Kingsway.

At girls’ indoor hockey, Kloof’s seconds met Pinetown Girls’ High School’s firsts and won convincingly, scoring 11-0. The team continued their winning ways, meeting Our Lady of Fatima’s seconds and bashing in a further nine goals in a 9-1 win.

Not to be outdone, Kloof’s U16A girls did the business against Thomas More in a strong 6-0 win.

On the cricket field, Kloof’s first team had a strong win against St Henry’s, romping home by 157 runs.

Kloof scored 217, Jayme Crouch hitting 95, and then dismissed the opposition for 60, Wade Moses getting 4-20.

The seconds also beat St Henry’s, scoring 154-8 and bowling the Durban school out for 45 to record a 109-run win.
