Knifing: Woman found dead

2011-07-05 00:00

THE body of a woman was found next to the railway line along Royston Road in the Mountain Rise area last Saturday.

The woman, believed to be about 35, had multiple injuries apparently inflicted by a blunt object. Police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said they have not ruled out the possibility that the woman was raped.

Police believe she may have been killed somewhere else.

“Abrasion marks were also found on her body confirming that she may have been dragged.”

The woman has a medium complexion, is of medium build, and 1,5m tall and has shoulder-length dreadlocks.

Anyone with information is requested to call Colonel Chris Wiles at 033 387 9621 or 079 500 1306 or CrimeStop at 08600 10111. — WR.
