Local muso’s career on a high

2010-11-08 00:00

IN 2008’s Metro FM Awards, Bryce Anderson walked away with the award for Best Produced Album of the Year for talented South African singer Nikki’s debut album, and in last year’s South African Music Awards (Sama) he scooped the Best R’n B Album of the Year for his debut album Undescribable.

Anderson is a muso from Woodlands.

Again the local lad’s album titled Music In My Life has been nominated in the best album category for this year’s 10th annual Metro FM Awards.

The nominations were held at a stunning gig in Randburg, Johannesburg a fortnight ago.

“It was an honour to be nominated for the second time and as you know I scooped the award in 2008. This time I won’t lie, its nerve wracking to know that there are some individuals who are judging my creativity,” he said. “But this is a milestone in my music career. I’m over the moon, really I enjoy it”.

Anderson launched his second album early this year, and sales have done reasonably well. His music is being played on radio stations countrywide. “I started to play different instruments at a very young age. My father taught me everything about the music business. Music is a part of me”.

The awards will take place on November 27, Nelspruit in Mpumalanga.
