Locnville named Best African Act for 2013

2013-10-26 00:00

LOCNVILLE have been named Best African Act in the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).

They beat African musicians Mafikozolo, P-Square, Wizkid and Fuse ODG to advance to the next round of the MTV EMAs road to the Worldwide Act category. The winners are picked by fans who vote online for their favourite artists.

The twin brothers are excited and honoured to be Africa’s best act. They have been delighting fans with their electro-hop music for five years. They have won bestselling album and best newcomer at the South African Music Awards in the past.

After six weeks of voting, Locnville came out tops. They still have to compete against Yo Yo Honey Singh from India and Ahmed Soultan from the Middle East for the chance to be one of 10 finalists in the Worldwide Act category at the 2013 MTV EMAs that will take place in Amsterdam on November 10.

To help Locnville advance to the next round, you can vote for them at www.mtv.co.za or www.mtvbase.com. Voting closes on October 31.
