‘Mad Fool’ uses snout to get sprout all the way to the top

A ENGLISHMAN, Stuart Kettell, has successfully pushed a Brussels sprout up Mount Snowdon using only his nose.

Kettell took three days to reach the 1 085 metre peak of the mountain.

After completing the challenge, Kettell tweeted from his account @TheMadFool: “Thanks to everyone for their help & support. Great crowd gathered to see me come down for last time after my 8 day challenge.”

The 49-year-old practised by pushing a Brussels sprout around his garden in preparation for his challenge to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support.

“People definitely think I’m mad, and I’m beginning to think it myself. It hurt my arms, my legs, my feet, my knees and my neck,” he said.

Kettell received messages of congratulations of Twitter.

‏@jameswalton_IGD tweeted: “A man called Stuart Kettell has pushed a sprout (OK, 22 sprouts — they tend to wear out) up Mt Snowdon, in 4 days … with his nose. Respect.”

@TrekandMountain tweeted: “Awesome effort from Stuart Kettell — pushing a sprout up Snowdon for Macmillian Cancer Relief.”
