A 30-YEAR-OLD man will appear in court today after he was allegedly found in possession of a stolen bakkie and electronic goods stolen from a house in Ballito on Tuesday.

Umhlali police have followed up leads after a Mazda Drifter double cab was stolen and suspects broke into a house in Waikiki, Ballito. The thieves made off with cellphones, an iPad, a handbag and toolbox as well as the tools that were inside the bakkie.

Late on Tuesday, their investigation led police to Shaka’s Head, where they arrested a man and recovered the bakkie as well as the other stolen items.

Police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said the suspect will be charged with theft of a motor vehicle and housebreaking. — WR.
