Man kills attacker

2013-08-20 00:00

A MAN who was shot and critically wounded, along with his wife, in Pinetown yesterday, killed one of his four attackers.

Police said the identity of the couple and the reason for the attack were not clear yesterday.

The police told The Witness last night they had only established that the man was shot in the stomach.

The woman was also hurt, but there were no details available of the nature of her injuries.

Captain Thulani Zwane said the other three attackers fled by car after their accomplice was killed. A 9 mm firearm was found on the dead man.

Netcare 911 paramedics treated the couple for critical injuries and took them to a local hospital.

The attacker died before the paramedics arrived.
