Mario’s name dragged in

2013-02-23 00:00

THE name of Pietermaritzburg-born singer Mario Ogle has been dragged into the case.

The Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport speculated that Oscar Pistorius didn’t want Reeva Steenkamp to take part in the Tropika Island of Treasure because he was allegedly jealous of fellow-contestant Ogle.

The series was filmed in Jamaica in November, shortly after the two started going out. It is not clear if Steenkamp knew Ogle before, but they became friends, and he attended her funeral. He could not be contacted yesterday.
