Maritzburg day: 40% of concert tickets sold

2011-09-22 00:00

MORE than 40% of the tickets for the Maritzburg Day concert at the Botanical Gardens on October 1 have already been sold, say organisers Impi Concerts.

Kahn Morbee, lead singer of the headlining act, top SA band The Parlotones, said, “The botanical Gardens must be one of the nicest venues to play at in the whole of South Africa.”

Also on the bill are Plush, reggae act the Meditators and the St Nicholas steel drum band. A flea market, a fully supervised kids zone and a live broadcast by East Coast Radio round out the day.

Gates open at 11.30 am, with music from 12.30 pm to 5 pm.

Buy tickets at Parklane Spar or at www.webtickets.co.za. They cost R160 for adults and R50 for children aged eight to 12 (no charge for younger children).
