Matric exams about to start

2013-10-25 00:00

IT’S that time again, when matrics will have to sit for what can be regarded as one of the most important exams in their lifetime.

Thousands of KwaZulu-Natal pupils will start their matric exams with English papers at 9 am and Music in the afternoon on Monday.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education said they were ready for this year’s exams. It appears that all the boxes have been ticked and the department is good to go.

The department said timetables have been issued, question papers packed and transported to nodal points. The department has appointed 10 324 markers for different positions who will ensure the quality of marking is maintained. These markers will oversee question papers of 150 061 full-time candidates enrolled to write the National Senior Certificate examinations. The results will be released on January 7 next year.
