A MAN and his cousin returned to work yesterday with gaping head injuries after they were attacked on Wednesday night.

The man and his cousin, who own a business in Raisethorpe, were attacked in an attempted robbery on Wednesday night after closing their shop.

The victims chose to remain unnamed.

“The shop had just closed and two foreigners came at us behind the store. They had a gun and were asking where the money was,” said one victim.

The two assailants took their cellphones and wallets, and struck both men on top of their heads with the butt of the gun.

“It all happened in 30 seconds,” he said.

Both victims are back at work after the attack, with stitches holding together the gashes on their heads.

“We have a shop to run,” he said.

They said they had chosen not to open a case with the police.
