Morningside woman is still missing

2014-05-02 00:00

THE search was still going on yesterday for the Morningside woman who went missing in the early hours of last Saturday, according to her sister Amsha Naidu.

“She has not been found yet. Everybody is searching for her. Some people had claimed to have seen her but we have not found her,” Naidu said yesterday

It was reported yesterday that Mala Naidu (45) was last seen at about 3.30 am after she had complained that she was feeling unwell and had walked out of her home.

The Mala family and friends have since combed the Durban beach looking for her and given out flyers in Chatsworth, the Phoenix area and the Durban beachfront.

Naidu said the search party was continuing the search yesterday.

She also said her sister’s disappearance was causing anxiety with their family.

“My mom is a bit stressed. She is 76. The entire family is anxious, stressed and nervous,” she said.

“For me personally, I want to see her in whatever state she could be in. I am not expecting the worst. I hope we are to find her and I remain positive,” Naidu added.
