Much midlands music

IT’S a feast of a weekend for music lovers in the midlands area, who are spoilt for choice with big names in the area during the course of the next three days.

Tonight sees the Pixie Bennett Band take the stage at St Anne’s Theatre to showcase their original music. Tickets R70 for adults, R50 for pupils.

Tomorrow night sees indie muso turned pop icon Jason Hartman on stage with his father Sam and brother Scott, at Stonehaven Lodge. Hartman’s new album is due for release soon.

On Sunday, the Horny Goats Gig at Swissland Cheese on the R103, between Lidgetton and Balgowan, features an impressive line-up, which includes Sama-nominated Josie Field, Joburg rock act Southern Gypsey Queen, and local outfit Gloucester Blues Project.
