Murison murder: Trial postponed for plea

2008-04-09 00:00

THE trial of alleged trainee disc jockey and sound engineer Martin Zondi (26) for the murder of Wembley mother Michelle Murison (31) on February 6 has been postponed until next week pending an indictment and possible plea in the high court.

Zondi made another brief appearance in the magistrate’s court yesterday, and was remanded in custody until April 16.

Zondi applied for bail last month, but withdrew the application before it reached finality.

Post-mortem results showed that Murison was stabbed 22 times.

She was found slain on the kitchen floor of her home within hours of being left alone at home with her baby.

The baby was found unharmed near her mother’s body.
