2011-04-20 00:00

WITH Jomo Cosmos confirmed as National First Division (NFD) Inland Stream winners at the weekend, the top spot in the Coastal Stream is still up for grabs.

Jomo Sono’s team recorded a 1-0 win over bitter rivals Black Leopards in Tembisa, Gauteng, on Saturday to book a place for the promotional play-offs against either Bay United or Thanda Royal Zulu, who are fighting for the Coastal Stream top spot.

With two rounds of matches left, Ezenkosi have collected 41 points and are followed by University of Pretoria on 33 points and Leopards on 32 points.

Meanwhile, Bay United still lead the eight-team Coastal Stream with 37 points.

Closest rivals Thanda Royal Zulu beat Hanover Park 3-1 to reduce the gap between them and Bay to four points.

Nathi Lions managed a 1-1 draw with FC Cape Town, while Blackburn Rovers were beaten 3-1 by Carara Kicks.

Batau FC will drop down to Second Division next season after playing a goalless draw against Witbank Spurs.
