Never give up says devoted mom

2011-05-09 00:00

OUR South Coaster of the day is Thabisile Khwane, who is in love with South Africa’s different cultures. TWANET KIRKBY caught up with her and asked:

How long have you been on the South Coast? Twenty-four years.

Where were you born? I was born in Durban.

Where do you go to on the South Coast for a day of fun? I enjoy going to the beach. We have so many great beaches.

What would be your dream vacation? I would love to go to Cape Town. I hear it is a stunning place with lots to see and do.

What is the biggest challenge about your job? Keeping a lot of people happy at the same time.

What is it about South Africa that makes you proudly South African? Our cultures and how we all stand together as one.

If you could change anything about the South Coast what would it be? I would want to create more rewarding job opportunities.

What is your ideal job? I’ve always wanted to be a social worker.

If you were given the opportunity to change somebody’s life in a positive way, what would you do? Wow, there is so much I want to do in this case, but most of all I would want to teach that person to never give up no matter what.

Your most precious possession? I am blessed to be a mother so I’d have to say my kids. They are my whole world and without them I would not be able to live. I love them to bits.
