Nite Company Relay: entry still open for late comers today

IT’S not too late to enter your company team in tonight’s Nite Company Relay at the Oval, Alexandra Park.

Expect a festive atmosphere at the park, with more than 200 teams already entered this popular event. Latecomes can enter at the Oval from 10 am today.

Each member of the five-person team will need to complete a five-kilometre lap within 2½ hours. Teams can be made up of men, women or both, and all members must be permanent, full-time employees of the same company.

The entry fee today will be R400 per team or R340 for walkers.

Every team to complete the race will receive bronze Weekend Witness medals for their efforts.

Catering and refreshments will be available, and the ever-popular beer garden will be open for business.

This year you can share the fun on the course with us and with friends on the Witness Facebook site. Take photos of yourself, your team and the funny moments.
