KLOOF businessman Bruce Galloway is still traumatised and needs to be given time before he can give police a statement about what happened on the morning he disappeared, provincial police spokesperson Colonel Vincent Mdunge said yesterday.

“He is in no state to give a statement. He needs counselling and once he’s settled psychologically and mentally, then we will look at taking a statement,” said Mdunge.

Galloway (59) was found in a gorge off the Bridle Road viewing spot on Thursday.

The Witness reported that he went missing from his home in the early hours of Tuesday morning when he was supposed to leave for Mthatha in the Eastern Cape on business.

In an interview with East Coast Radio at the Hillcrest hospital hours after his father was found on Thursday, family spokesperson Wayne Galloway said he was stable, talking and had a sense of humour.

Yesterday Wayne told Weekend Witness that his father was in good spirits although he was still in ICU.

“He’s on the mend. At this stage we don’t have details on what exactly happened on the morning my father went missing,” he said.
