Nuptials to go: Howick couple join finalists in Win-a-Wedding contest

2011-06-17 00:00

LOUISE Lyons whooped for joy after discovering that she and her fiancé, Louis Nel, both of Howick, are the second finalists in The Witness Win a Wedding competition.

The couple were selected from the SMS competition line entries, and could be the winners of a wedding for 100 people at Shalwyn wedding and conference venue in the Tala Valley.

The winning couple will receive a variety of prizes.

There will be a three-course dinner and canapés sponsored by Hamblin’s Catering. Crockery, cutlery, linen and chairs will be sponsored by Muirhead’s Hiring, with draping sponsored by Kerry and Sherree, and music by Mega Music. Then there are gown and suit hire from Belle and Bravado, hair and make-up by Craik Spears, photography by Paul Henman, and a video of that special day by Softlight Media.

A wonderful honeymoon is laid on, which includes game drives at The Windmills in Nottingham Road.

Speciality Papers will sponsor paper to the value of R5 000 for wedding invitations, cards and seating plans, while Invitation Selection will print the invitations.

To stand a chance of being the next finalist, simply SMS our competition line or complete an entry form and deliver it to Shalwyn or Muirhead’s Hiring.

It’s that easy, and before you know it you could find yourself winning a wonderful wedding.

You can also enter at The Witness Bridal Extravaganza which takes place at the Olympia Hall at the Royal Showgrounds from Thursday, June 23 to 24.

Tickets to the event are R30 and are available at the door.
