Oslo Beach’s Bobby Naidoo is passionate about South Coast beauty

BOBBY Naidoo of Oslo Beach has lived on the South Coast for his entire life.

He has been working in the motor industry for 40 years and says he enjoys it as much today as he did on the day he first started.

The Witness spoke to Naidoo about the South Coast and his involvement in the Port Shepstone Sub-Committee of South Coast Tourism.

 

What is it about your job that you enjoy?

NAIDOO: Dealing with all people from all walks of life is the part of my job that I most enjoy.

Being involved in tourism, you must have a passion for the South Coast.

What is it that you are so passionate about?

I enjoy the relaxed nature of life on the South Coast and the many beautiful and scenic areas we have at our disposal here.

Describe yourself in five words?

Humorous, challenging, caring, fun-loving and unique.

What makes you most proud about being a South African?

Although I live in a Western world, I still feel like I follow my own culture and religion.

What change would you like to see in our country?

I would like to see all people being given equal opportunities with no discrimination relating to race or colour.

What is your secret talent?

Organising fundraising events and charity functions.

Where in the world would you most like to visit and why?

India. I would like to visit all of the temples and religious landmarks.

What advice would you give to young South Africans?

To always respect their elders and, most importantly, their parents.

What do you enjoy doing when you have time away from work?

Visiting friends and going to shopping malls.

What do you do to keep healthy?

I have a home gym and I am a very keen golfer.

Is South Africa going to win the cricket World Cup next month?

I would say that they have a 50/50 chance.
