PMB BFFs meet Bieber in chance of a lifetime

2013-05-10 00:00

“I TOUCHED his abs! I can still feel it!”

Pietermaritzburg schoolgirl Genna Bennetts was still on cloud nine yesterday after she and a friend, Ellen Harrison, met Justin Bieber before his concert in Cape Town on Wednesday.

She asked the pop star if she could give him a hug, and he answered “sure”.

The two 16-year-old best friends from Epworth School were at the meet-and-greet session courtesy of a competition Genna had won — an all-expenses-paid trip to the concert for her and a friend.

Genna’s mother, Lynne, who accompanied her to the show, said Genna was desperate to meet the teen sensation, but that would have cost the family R6 265.

“I told her not to worry, something is going to happen — and this happened,” Lynne said.

Genna only heard on Saturday that she was a winner.

Even though she and Ellen missed three days of school, Lynne said it was chance of a lifetime and they were lucky their principal had allowed them to go.

The concert was even better than the girls expected.

“It was indescribable,” said Ellen.

The best part was when he walked on stage with no shirt on, they said.

Genna has been a fan for ages.

“He’s so perfect,” she said.
