Passports to museums in the city

2011-02-25 00:00

THE Witness Museum Passport competition will be taking place this year among seven institutions — Natal Museum, Voortrekker/Msunduzi Museum, Macrorie House Museum, Comrades House Museum, Tatham Art Gallery, Pietermaritzburg Tourism, and Project Gateway (the Old Prison).

It will be launched on March 2 at Voortrekker Museum at 3 pm and will close at the end of May.

This popular competition will again offer numerous prizes. The main prize is a photocopying machine, followed by Apple iPods, cameras and cellphones.

The main sponsors are The Witness and Nashua. Other sponsors include Waltons, ABCO and Lotus Stationers, Hirsh’s and Tech Gents.

All schools are urged to participate.

They will need to make bookings and ensure that they have their passports ready to be stamped at each institution they visit.

The passports entitle them to enter the lucky draw at the close of the competition.

Any of the participating institutions can be contacted for more information.
