Paulse hoping for SuperSport move

JOHANNESBURG — Free agent Nathan Paulse is hopeful of securing a contract with SuperSport United after impressing while in training with the Premier Soccer League club.

The former Avendale Athletico, Ajax Cape Town, Hammarby IF and Platinum Stars striker, who has also spent time on loan with Bloemfontein Celtic, is without a club after being released by Dikwena at the end of last season.

The 30-year-old netted in a 2-2 draw with Santos in a pre-season friendly in Cape Town on Wednesday during a 45-minute cameo.

Following the match, Paulse said: “I was just training with SuperSport at my own request and I must thank them for allowing me to do so.

“It was really for me to keep fit and stay within a professional environment …”
